Initial attempts rapidly lead to the conclusion that this is not going to be a quickie! However, because this is a Level 6 Starred difficulty puzzle which is “Very Hard”, that might have been a bit optimistic on my part. I wish there was a puzzle doctor that we could send our puzzles to so they could be fixed. So with these ominous words ringing in my ears I decided I should have a go too. I suspect that you have been very lucky in taking it apart and now you are finding out just how difficult it is in your attempts at reassembly! The Quartet is made up of four square shaped pieces with gaps in one corner. I’d not thought of that. As for another similar difficult challenge then I would suggest the Hanayama cast Vortex or less tough the Cast Radix.
Have you tried YouTube? The pieces did seem to be more freely movable but not in any particularly useful way. I was quite determined to remember the moves and so really struggled to get any further. I have to say that the pictures are good enough quality to help you undo it but it is actually quite hard to tell the pieces apart on the pictures to be able to use it for reassembly!
This is a tough little booger of a puzzle! Quartet is a real nice one!

Eventually I ignored it and figured out how to reassemble it myself. I made a point not to even look at the back of the box so I didn’t see too many details of what my puzzle looked like unsolved. One of the videos showed a guy using a very worn Quartet and one of the moves was not mettal to complete on my version perhaps a newer refined version.
Unfortunately, I still had quite a lot of work on but could hanqyama with it in front of the TV at night without getting the laser stare.

In the meantime you have a very unique and difficult challenge – it may take you months or years to figure it out as long as you didn’t force it. Well i managed to solve it and put back together took me 4 days to put it back together and after few hour of clinging and rotating i managed to put it together backwards but it isn’t so hard to rescue it.

However, this is a very difficult puzzle, as I’ve stated it’s a Pizzle 6 difficulty, which is the hardest Hanayama do. Wow, I kinda starting to feel proud, because I figured it without any help.
Qaurtet that is VERY impressive! Therefore, a short while after I was able to remove it completely from the mess I thought I’d created. I definitely don’t think I could solve it now without several days worth of fiddling.

However, it seems to have been misplaced with all the quarhet and such so I cannot tell if it was an actual Hanayama piece or a replica.
Unfortunately, the Quartet then got forgotten about due to new puzzles arriving etc. How did you come to own that?
